Activation | A5, S5, RS5 B9.5 Post-Facelift Matrix LED

A little disappointed with your matrix LED headlights only acting like standard LED headlights? This package has the tools and software coupled with a remote session to activate the full matrix LED and/or laser headlight functionality for your North American model to get the most out of your headlights. This only works with North American models that have factory fitted matrix LED headlights.  If you are unfamiliar with how matrix high beam functionality works please do watch the video below for more information.

VAS Interface Purchase - In the event that a future dealership visit wipes the activation(s) this can be re-activated at no labor cost.  The VAS interface is required for re-activating after a dealership visit that removes this functionality so it can be beneficial to purchase that interface for easier future re-activation.

VAS Interface Rental - If you choose to rent the VAS interface a $300 deposit will be held as an authorization on your payment method until the interface is returned.  Once the interface is returned within 15 days from date of departure the $300 deposit will be voided without the need for a refund. Note that VAS rentals are only available within North America.

Blue Laser Light Activation - When the blue laser light is activated the range of the high beams is extended through the use of the blue marker inside of the headlight.  The standard monochromatic laser is coupled with the activated blue laser beam which creates a wavelength of 450 nanometers.  That is then converted by a phosphor into soft light suitable for roadway use with a color temperature of 5500 kelvin which is ideal for the human eye reducing fatigue.  As an added bonus visible blue accent lighting is activated inside of the headlight. This activation disables the orange side marker illumination.

Headlight Animations (Laser Models Only) - If your A5 or S5 has laser equipped headlights you can have the headlight animations upgraded to the RS style with this option.

Taillight Animations - If your A5 or S5 did not come with taillight animations these can be activated during the remote session. Note that for '24+ models this requires two remote sessions for SFD2 unlocking and coding.

European Single Sided Parking Light - Activating this allows for a single left or right set of parking lights to be turned on for safety of the parked vehicle. Leaving the left or right turn signal on enables this when activated.

Deactivate Orange Sidemarkers - Deactivating the orange side markers creates a cleaner appearance where the orange portion of the headlight will no longer illuminate.  Blue laser light activation automatically disables the side marker.  Allows for use of the fog/all weather lighting with high beams.

Re-Activation - In the event that a dealership wipes the activation(s) during a service or repair free re-activation is available for as long as the customer owns the vehicle.

*Note that a Windows, Mac or Android equipped laptop/device with a USB-A port or adapter to USB-A port is best for performing these activations. If activation must be performed with a Mac that does not have a Windows installation this can only be completed using the Mac compatible rental interface which may require additional steps for functionality. Activation requires a stable non-cellular wireless connection while the laptop is in your vehicle during the remote process.
